Core Principles Local-first

Growlo is a cat growth time machine and roaming map app. No account or login is required.

• The photos you take, room layouts, roaming logs, and reminder settings are stored only in your device's local storage and are never uploaded to any server
• We do not collect or upload any personal data
• We do not use location (GPS) features; the “Roaming Map” is an abstract room layout you draw yourself, not a real geographic location

Camera Permission

The aligned-photo feature of the “Growth Time Machine” asks for your device's camera permission. The camera is activated only when you tap the shutter button and never captures images in the background. Photos you take are stored only on your device, and Growlo does not read, upload, or access any other existing photos in your photo library.

Notification Permission

Growlo asks for notification permission to send periodic “time to take a photo” reminders at the times you set. These reminders are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device and no data is sent out.

Export and Sharing

The “Share” feature re-lays out a photo on your device as a polaroid-style image (with a white frame and date), saves it as a temporary file, and opens the system's native share sheet so you can choose who to send it to. The entire image-creation process is done locally on your device; Growlo does not upload the photo and does not know who you share it with.

Images exported with the free version carry a small “Growlo” mark in the bottom-right corner; it is no longer shown after the paid unlock.

Growth Book (PDF) and Playback

The “Growth Book” feature lays out the photos you select into a PDF on your device (cover, polaroid-style inner pages, and back cover), saves it as a temporary file, and opens the system's native share sheet so you can choose to save, share, or print it. The entire process is done locally on your device; Growlo does not upload your photos or the PDF and does not know who you share it with.

The “Playback” feature only plays the photos you select in sequence, in order of capture time, on your device; no data is transmitted.

With the free version, a growth book with more than 4 photos exports only the cover and the first page; unlock the full version to export the whole book.

No Ads / In-App Purchase

Growlo contains no ads at all—this is a memory-keeping app, and showing ads while you browse your cat's growth photos would ruin the experience.

A one-time “Unlock Full Version” purchase is available (full growth book export, no watermark on exported images, unlimited rooms; the free version has no limit on the number of photos you can take). The purchase process and payment information are handled entirely by the Apple App Store / Google Play, and Growlo never accesses or stores your credit card or payment details. Purchases are verified through the RevenueCat service; RevenueCat only receives an anonymous device ID and purchase records to confirm your purchase status. For details, see the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.

Photo Storage Reminder

Because photos are stored only on your device, they cannot be recovered if you delete the app, clear its data, or switch devices without backing up first. We recommend exporting and saving important photos regularly.

Children's Privacy

Growlo is suitable for all ages. This app does not collect any personally identifiable information, regardless of the user's age.
