Cheatlo Privacy Policy

Cheatlo ("we", "our", or "the app") is a retro game cheat encyclopedia for Android. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

• Cheat database & user preferences — stored entirely on your device (local SQLite). Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
• Favorites & edited cheats — saved locally on your device only.
• Pro purchase status — stored locally via SharedPreferences; also managed by RevenueCat (see Third-Party Services).

2. Camera Permission

Cheatlo requests camera permission solely for the Photo Recognition feature (Pro), which lets you photograph a game cartridge or screen to identify the title automatically.

• Images are first processed on-device using Google ML Kit OCR (no data leaves your device in this step).
• If on-device recognition fails, the image may be sent to Google Cloud Vision API for further analysis. Google's privacy policy applies.
• Photos are never stored by Cheatlo and are discarded immediately after processing.

3. Internet Usage

The core cheat database works fully offline. Internet is used only for:

• Serving advertisements (AdMob)
• Processing in-app purchases (RevenueCat)
• Photo recognition via Google Cloud Vision API (Pro feature, when local OCR is insufficient)

4. Third-Party Services

Cheatlo integrates the following third-party SDKs, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google AdMob — serves ads to free users. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization. Google Privacy Policy →
• RevenueCat — manages in-app purchase verification. RevenueCat collects transaction data necessary to validate purchases. RevenueCat Privacy Policy →
• Google ML Kit — on-device OCR for photo recognition. Runs entirely on your device; no data is sent externally.
• Google Cloud Vision API — fallback image recognition (Pro only). Images are sent to Google's servers and subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

All user data (favorites, edited cheats, Pro status) is stored locally on your device. You can delete all data at any time by uninstalling the app. We do not maintain any server-side user data to delete on request.

6. Children's Privacy

Cheatlo is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our app, please contact us.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

1. 我們收集的資料

2. 相機權限

Cheatlo 僅在使用「拍照辨識」功能（Pro）時請求相機權限， 讓您拍攝遊戲卡帶或畫面自動辨識遊戲名稱。

• 影像優先由裝置端的 Google ML Kit OCR 處理，此步驟不會將資料傳出裝置。
• 若本機辨識失敗，影像可能會傳送至 Google Cloud Vision API 進行進一步辨識，適用 Google 的隱私權政策。
• Cheatlo 不儲存任何照片，辨識完成後立即捨棄。

3. 網路使用

核心金手指功能可完全離線使用。網路僅用於：

• 顯示廣告（AdMob）
• 處理應用程式內購（RevenueCat）
• 拍照辨識進階分析（Pro，本機辨識不足時）

4. 第三方服務

5. 資料保留與刪除

所有用戶資料（收藏、編輯記錄、Pro 狀態）均儲存在您的裝置本地。 解除安裝 App 即可刪除所有本地資料。 我們的伺服器端沒有任何用戶資料，無需額外申請刪除。

6. 兒童隱私

本 App 不針對 13 歲以下兒童。我們不會故意收集兒童的個人資訊。 若您認為兒童曾透過本 App 提供個人資訊，請與我們聯繫。

7. 政策異動

我們可能不定期更新本隱私權政策，異動時將更新上方的「最後更新」日期。 在異動後繼續使用本 App，即視為接受更新後的政策。
